China, Vietnam hail closer bilateral relations

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday spoke highly of China-Vietnam relations, saying that like-mindedness and a shared future are the most distinctive features of the relationship.

During a meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi, Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, reiterated that China regards relations with Vietnam as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy.

Wang and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang held the 15th Meeting of the China-Vietnam Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation on Friday.
